The Beatles had it right – we do need a revolution. Glenn Beck is wrong about not needing one – – – – because we actually do need a revolution and soon otherwise Americans will lose our freedom.
Revolution Of Ideology
There are different types of revolutions. The revolution we need right now is a revolution against ideology. The progressives are trying to sell America on their ideology which strikes at the core values of this nation.
Best selling author Ayn Rand grappled with this ideology in many of her books. Right winged talk show hosts touch upon this ideology but get dismissed by the left winged media. Thus this ideology is never truly understood by Americans.
The ideology in question that we need to set a revolution against is statism. If you do not know what statism is, here is what it looks like:
- A government grants itself unlimited power.
- The government violates the rights of it’s own people.
- The state believes our lives belong to them and they can dispose of us in any way they see fit for whatever they feel benefits the collective group.
Right before our very eyes Obama and his liberal, left winged, progressive cronies in Congress are changing this country into a statist nation. These bureaucrats have granted themselves unlimited power; they have violated many of our individual rights (health care, gun ownership) and they have passed laws for us that they themselves do not have to abide by. This is why we need a revolution.
Revolution Against Government Abuse
This unlimited power and the abuse by this government of our individual right is similar to the parliament of 1765 that Glenn talks about (glennbeck.com). In 1765 the parliament acted like kings and the citizens were considered their subjects and property.
Obama and his democrat cronies are doing the same thing – – – they have made themselves god-like and they are beginning to treat us like subjects. Is that what you want? Do you want your children and grandchildren to be considered property of the state? Obama and the rest of the elitists in Washington think that’s what you want because you are not stopping them.
We had better start recognizing the word, concept and feel of statism before it is too late. We had better start understanding that a free society with individual opportunity and unlimited government is not the society the statists in Washington have in mind for us. Statism and freedom do not go hand-in-hand.
We better show Washington that we mean business about our revolution and on November 2nd we will show them with our votes. On November 2nd we will vote out these anti-American statist politicians. If we fail to take this action, future generations will pay for the sins of past generations and America will be changed forever.
