If We Only Had Theodore Roosevelt Today
Meet Theodore Roosevelt
Would our society be headed in a different direction today if we had different leadership? Would the morals and values that has always set America apart be slipping away if perhaps Theodore Roosevelt were president today? Would we be witnessing such a pathetic lack of leadership from Congress and the White House if Teddy Roosevelt were president today? Maybe.
President Theodore Roosevelt was the youngest president ever elected in the United States. Most people think it was John F Kennedy but it was not. Kennedy was 43 years old when elected and President Roosevelt was 42 years old. But the age of a president would not determine his ability to lead our country forward instead of backwards. The actions of a man tells a lot more about the man and his intent sometimes than what he says.
Theodore said what he meant and meant what he said. He could not be bought it was once said. He believed in individualism but he also believed in helping others. One of the most famous Teddy Roosevelt quotes was “nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care”. His compassion and warmth was genuine, not phony like our current day politicians. Thanks to Theodore Roosevelt we have many, many national parks, including the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota.
The Difference In Roosevelt’s
President Theodore Roosevelt and President Franklin Roosevelt were related, cousins, but that is where the similarity ended. Each Roosevelt came from opposite ends of the political spectrum. Theodore was Republican, a conservative. He was the first president to invite a black person to dinner at the White House (and the Democrats are always bragging about how good they have been to minorities).
Franklin was a true Democrat. One of the FDR quotes that liberals can relate to was “we are trying to construct a more inclusive society, we are going to make a country in which no one is left out” (could that be any more liberal?). FDR certainly prepared the way for today’s liberal agenda. FDR believed that “good neighbors live in solidarity”. The ludicrous idea that the government creates jobs started with FDR (that’s really funny, the government creates jobs, ha). That definitely gives some insight into President Franklin Roosevelt’s political instincts…make them dependent and you’ll control them forever.
Contrast Franklin’s direction with other Theodore Roosevelt quotes such as “speak softly but carry a big stick and you will go far” or “believe you can and you’re halfway there” or “with self-discipline most anything is possible”. President Theodore Roosevelt clearly shows how his thought process was directed towards helping the individual become the best version of themselves. Franklin was all about teaching individuals that the government can solve all their problems and satisfy their every need better than they themselves can; the government knows best. The liberals continue to take us down that same path and look where our country is today.
President Theodore Roosevelt was once quoted as saying “to educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society”. That is precisely why our society is collapsing from within; the liberal Democrats and RINO’s continue to create menaces to our society. And until we vote in leaders who want to support individualism and crush dependency we will continue to see the demise of America. What’s it going to take America for you to see the truth? Wake up already.
