Who Wants The Debt Of America?
The Huffington Post finally finds a writer with accurate information; the truth is rarely being written about anymore. Every issue that faces our American way of life, from the debt to socialism to political power struggles seems to be soft-peddled by the left-winged media. However, Tom Gerdy wrote the honest to God truth about America in the Huffington Post. He made an unusual observation. If we wanted to sell America, our national debt, tax system, sophomoric politicians and voter turmoil would turn off any potential buyer, even on Ebay.
If the American way of life is to survive we can no longer ignore the issues that we face. Is it too late to save our country? Do Americans even realize that their country and way of life may be so far gone that no one wants it? Or are most Americans just trying to survive and are not paying attention to the big picture? Well they’d better wake up and start paying attention before it’s too late.
The Debt
As outrageous as the debt is American politicians feel entitled to continue to grow it. Why is that? Well maybe because American voters keep re-electing the same group that put the debt on the books in the first place. When will we learn, politicians never change; they have their own agenda and it doesn’t include us. They want power and control, period.
The American Politician
Our politicians have failed us and continue to do so because we do nothing to stop them. They are so busy running for re-election to keep their jobs that they never govern. It’s never about us, it’s always about them. Many career politicians have abused their power. Our Founding Fathers never wanted career politicians running America. It’s sad that American voters don’t get that.
The Tax System
The debt we carry as a nation has taken years to accumulate; it will not be erased by overtaxing citizens who are already pushed beyond their limits. Why do our politicians always think taxes are the only answer for paying down the debt? Here’s a new concept that they may have never though of…stop spending!!! Yeah, right.
The Freebie Way Of Life
Entitlements have become a way of life in America. We’ve lost our way as a nation of inventors, creators and achievers. It’s easier to collect an entitlement nowadays than to do the hard work that prior generations did. Who wants a country of lazy, unmotivated, defeated workers?
There’s Hope, Right?
We talk about Americans as the proud and the free; but we’ve lost something in the translation. How can we be proud of a nation and people who are so messed up? Our freedoms are slowly being eliminated one by one and we do nothing to stop it; after the fact is too late. Let’s hope that 4 years from now American voters will have learned some lessons about politicians and their motives. Let’s pray that the voters learn enough to fire those who are currently occupying the White House and the Congress.
