A prominent Kremlin-appointed Russian TV host said during a recent broadcast that GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump will be killed by the military-industrial complex before he has the opportunity to change U.S. foreign policy.
Russian journalist Dmitry Kisiliov made the prediction during a recent broadcast on Russia 1.
“This combination, Trump’s leading in the race, his ability to state things as they are, and his intention to end the recent extreme Russian-American tensions – all this puts him in a very risky situation,” Kisiliov said.
“Now they may just kill him,” the host added.
The “they” Kisiliov is referring to are people who stand to profit from the deterioration of the already tense relationship between the U.S. and its Cold War foe.
“The U.S. special (security) services do not need such a president. Those services promote hatred toward Russia in order to justify their existence,” Kisiliov said.
He added“The American oligarchs also do not need such a president. For these oligarchs, the existing world order ensures solid and stable business. For them, a Trump who is ready to settle issues with Russia means that the finances will flow in a different direction.
“The American establishment is merciless.”
The cryptic warning comes from Russian state media, so take it with a grain of salt. But as we continue to watch Democrat Hillary Clinton— the obvious choice of interventionists and warmongers— champion U.S. belligerence toward Russia, it isn’t the craziest thing we’ve heard in a while.
