Does The Pledge Of Allegiance Still Have Any Value?
The Pledge Of Allegiance Words
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
Do Americans still know the Pledge of Allegiance words? Do Americans even care? Where is the pledge recited anymore? The Pledge of Allegiance in schools is often recited but not required. Some schools recite the Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish classes. The only place it is still recited on a regular basis is at the opening of Congressional sessions. So is the Pledge of Allegiance mere words just recited by some for pomp and ceremony or does this pledge mean anything anymore?
Care By Understanding The Pledge Of Allegiance
The 31 words of the US Pledge of Allegiance talk about a nation that is indivisible. However we are a very divided nation right now. The current crop of Democrat politicians in Washington have divided us. A people divided benefits Mr. Obama and his cohorts in Congress because while we bicker amongst ourselves we cannot watch and judge their shenanigans. These sneaky, professional politicians know that if we the people unite we can beat them and they do not want that.
The pledge talks about liberty for all. Thanks to Mr. Obama and his Democrat cronies in Congress our liberty has been weakened almost beyond recognition. If you are like most Americans you feel the government seizing more and more control of your life leaving you with less liberty and freedom.
And justice, well the left-winged media and the liberals in government spin and twist justice to support their own propaganda; their hypocrisy is so obvious. The truth always gets buried and goes unreported.
The Pledge And The American Flag
The Pledge of Allegiance is a statement. It tells the world that Americans will stand together through good and bad, thick and thin. The pledge is not a symbol like American flags are. But even as a symbol, the colors of US flags give a stronger meaning to the Pledge of Allegiance. American flags colors: red is for valor and hardiness; white is for innocence and blue symbolizes perseverance. Valor, innocence and perseverance, that is what made America great. Have we lost that?
Under God Added To Pledge
When reviewing the history of the Pledge of Allegiance you will discover that when it was first written in 1892 “under God” was not included. That phrase was not added to the Pledge of Allegiance until 1954. Why was pledge of allegiance under God added? Maybe because God’s help is the only reason these United States of America is still standing. Can America remain a strong nation if we are led by politicians who view their job of representation along career lines instead of what is good for the nation? Can America continue to exist if her citizens consider the Pledge of Allegiance mere words to occasionally be recited but not taken seriously?
Give Power To The Pledge
It seems as if Americans have it backwards. Instead of fighting the real enemy, the elites with all of their political power, we keep fighting each other. If we want to save our country we need to stop that. We need to do something about this government that we cannot trust. We need to step up this November and show the group of self-anointed, self-appointed politicians that we are taking the pledge, we want our liberty, freedom and justice back. We will be voting out of office those who have divided us. God save America.
