Americans Work To Pay For Obamacare
Whether Americans realize it or not the Obamacare trickle down effect is about to begin. Voters who re-elected Mr. Obama & Company may feel good about that decision for the moment. Will they feel the same way when they lose their jobs, their houses and their health care?
Someone Has To Pay For Obamacare
The Obama administration is telling us that they can pay for Obamacare by increasing taxes on the wealthy. That’s nice, but it’s only half right. The government will “start” with the wealthy because they have the deepest pockets. However common sense should tell you that the deep pockets of the wealthy only go so deep. The wealthy will eventually run out of money and when they do the government has to find another source.
They Pay, You Pay, We All Pay
Every working American will be paying for Obamacare…in many ways. We will pay by job losses, salary decreases and health insurance elimination. Obamacare is going to be very expensive for employers. To save their companies, employers (the wealthy ones) will have to cut expenses, and that means salaries and benefits. Companies will be laying off employees, slashing benefits and in some cases permanently closing their doors.
Mr. Obama Says You Are Wealthy
You may be wealthy and not even know it. If Obama & Company says you are wealthy then you must be wealthy. Increasing taxes on the wealthy will not generate enough money to pay for Obamacare so once the government gets done with the wealthy they will have to come after the middle class.
The Obama administration has already drawn a line in the sand dividing the wealthy from the non-wealthy. For the moment, individuals who earn more than $200,000 and families who earn more than $250,000 are considered wealthy by Mr. Obama.
To generate additional tax revenue all the administration has to do is change the definition of wealthy (and they will). Who knows, in the future individuals earning $100,000 may be considered wealthy by Mr. Obama & Company. By the simple swoosh of an executive order, many middle class Americans may become wealthy overnight and will be taxed accordingly.
It’s too bad. If Romney would have beat Obama the wealthy and the middle class would be keeping more of their own money vs having it seized by the government via taxation. I wonder who the voters who re-elected Mr. Obama are going to blame when they have no job, no house and no future? Oh well, they can always blame George Bush for another 4 years.
