Why Millennials Don’t Get Socialism
So why are Millennials so clueless about socialism? Um, here’s a few clues. Start with what they have and have not been taught in school and by our culture. Next, look at those they tune into to for news. And finally, listen to the leaders they follow. Combine a liberal school system, culture, news outlets and liberal leaders who live, breath and teach socialism and you get a whole generation of folks clueless about socialism. But the sad thing is, most teachers, news organizations and leaders do not even know what real socialism is. So we’ve got the clueless teaching and leading the clueless.
Are Socialists Winning?
Those who do understand socialist ideology (Bernie Sanders) and want to change our way of life by making America more of a socialist country, seem to be winning with the clueless Millennials. Most Millennials have never been taught the difference between socialism and other forms of government, such as capitalism. They do not know the difference between what we have in the U.S (capitalism) and socialism.
Under socialism, the government owns you. Millennials think socialism means a generous government; the government taking care of everyone’s needs. They think socialism means people being kind and nice to others. They do not know that under socialism the government takes. Under socialism the government takes your property and money and “redistributes” it…so that everyone is equal. And thanks to Obamacare, the largest socialized program offered yet in the U.S, the government can now even take your health and life if they so please. Under socialism the government has the power to take it all from the people thereby making the people completely dependent upon the government. And when the government owns you they make all of your decisions for you.
But, but, but don’t take Millennial’s freebies away, that’s mean. What Millennials don’t understand is the governments may give them freebies, but at a cost. The cost is their individual personal freedom. But they must not understand what freedom means because they continue to cling to politicians who promise a free ride in the form of guaranteed healthcare and free college educations.
Can Millennials Change?
Millennials will only change when they are affected, personally. Oh wait, maybe they are almost at that point. Why do Millennials believe they can’t get jobs, or have to pay high college tuition costs? Can they connect the dots? Will they ever understand that when the government “redistributes” to make it “fair”, those who can afford college have to carry the load for those who cannot. Under socialistic “redistribution” when we’re all made equal, there are fewer jobs available.
Wait until they try to buy houses and have to pay taxes. Again, those who can afford to pay taxes have to carry the load for those who cannot. Not liking socialist ideology so much anymore? Oh well, too late. Once socialistic laws are in play for a really long time there are no make-overs.
Watch Who You Put Into Power
Under a free market system, like capitalism, the government does not take, the government enhances. Economic growth is not in the socialism playbook, although socialists will claim that it is, but under capitalism economic growth is front-and-center. And who is better at understanding economic growth, Hillary or Trump. If you guessed Trump, maybe you do understand. Trump has lived economic growth. Trump has held private sector jobs, Hillary has not. Trump has created jobs, Hillary has destroyed them, taxed them, regulated them. Trump will bring America out of our economic slump, Hillary will bury us even deeper. Trump will get the government out of our way, Hillary will have the government controlling our every move.
Ignorance Is Not Bliss
Millennial voters are scary because of their ignorance. And that ignorance about socialism is not bliss; it will become a nightmare if we get Hillary as president this November. Millennials need to start understanding how socialism will change their lives. They need to start understanding that words and concepts have meaning. But that won’t happen as long as they are more interested in saving the environment, giving each other a group hug or feeling good about being “do-gooder’s”. Millennials are the group of young adults that will be forming and shaping the future of America and yet they do no understand how the government will be controlling more and more of their lives if they allow this government to filter in more and more socialism. How sad.
