America Is Digressing As A Nation
The only way to get America back on track is for Americans, including political leaders, to start feeling bad again about their slack in meeting their commitments. Everything goes in America. There is no stigma anymore for not meeting responsibilities…and worse yet, we’re teaching the next generations that.
Our Actions Don’t Speak Anymore
The future generations of America have terrible role models. The role models of today are demonstrating that it’ okay to not be responsible for your actions. If you don’t want to pay your mortgage, that’s okay; feel like defaulting on your auto loan, that’s okay. Anything you want to do is okay, and you don’t have to feel bad about anything you do. Feel like the mortgage company wronged you for extending you a loan, which you knew you couldn’t afford, that’s okay, blame the mortgage company – after all it can’t be your fault for taking on too much debt.
It’s that exact attitude that has put this country in the position it’s in. No one in America is accountable for their actions anymore. In our society, everyone gets off the hook for anything they do…and that’s okay.
America, The Weak Nation
How does a solid, strong country like America go bankrupt and heavily into debt, forced to borrow from other countries? America used to be the world leader; weak nations came to us because they were the ones who couldn’t manage their government spending…now we are the weak ones.
Our “leaders”, our politicians who are not responsible for their actions and our citizens who follow suit have weakened our entire nation. The entire tone in Washington DC stinks because it allows everyone to cry foul and get away with it, including political leaders who were elected to lead; true leaders uphold standards.
We Are Paying The Price For Everything Being “Okay”
The standards in America are at the lowest point this country has ever seen, but that’s the price we are paying for allowing “everything to be okay”. Everything you do is not okay and people have either forgotten that or are so selfish that they are blinded by that selfishness therefore do not know what’s right anymore.
Folks are jealous of the guy next door who did it right. He pays his bills regularly, doesn’t overextend his debt, pays his taxes and has some savings in the bank so has some net worth. They want that, don’t know how to get it, so work at tearing him down. That’s the new America where “everything is okay”. Forget about the fact that the guy next door worked hard, sacrificed and made some trade-offs to save the money he now has…that’s completely irrelevant when someone is enraged by jealousy….welcome to your new America.
