A White House spokesman says the Federal Bureau of Investigation has an “extreme bias” against President Donald Trump after leaked text messages between agents revealed anti-Trump sentiment within the agency.
More than 300 text messages between FBI counterintelligence expert Peter Strzok and FBI in-house attorney Lisa Page have been revealed to the press and members of Congress.
Strzok, who was assigned to the Russia meddling investigation before being recently removed, called Trump “a loathsome human” in one message.
“God, Hillary should win 100,000,000 – 0,” Strzok said in another prior to the election.
White House spokesman J. Hogan Gidley says this should be a real matter of concern for Americans watching closely as the FBI continues investigating the president and his team.
“It is troubling, deeply troubling, that the revelations have now come to light that there is extreme bias against this president with high-up members of the team there at the FBI who were investigating Hillary Clinton at the time,” Gidley said on “Fox & Friends.”
“We’re a little concerned at what we’re seeing here. Obviously, those text messages give us quite a bit of pause and should be eye-opening at an agency that should be, quite frankly unbiased,” he added.
