Government Bureaucrats Continue To Abuse Freedom
The dictionary says that freedom is “the power to determine action without restraint”. If you haven’t noticed maybe you need to pay more attention because that is exactly what government bureaucrats in America are doing with their political power.Government bureaucrats seem to think they have the freedom to do whatever they want to do.
Have you heard, corruption is now an acceptable practice in American government. And it’s also okay for government bureaucrats to help themselves to our tax dollars on a whim. Do they think it’s their right or something? In Mr. Obama’s home state of Illinois they must.
The corruption never stops in Illinois. They have two Governors in jail; Governor Ryan on federal corruption charges and Governor Blagojevich for selling Mr. Obama’s Senate seat. Now Rita Crundwell, the comptroller in Dixon, Illinois (population 16,000) has helped herself to more than $53 million of the tax payers money to fund her lavish lifestyle. Some investigating officials estimate that she has been stealing public money, unnoticed, for over twenty years.
Comptroller Rita used that money to buy luxury homes, vehicles, jewelry and to fund her horse-breeding business. She is known around the world for her champion quarter horses. She, or now Dixon tax payers, own 311 quarter horses. What a gig Rita had going.
What Happens In Dixon Does Not Stay In Dixon
If small, cozy towns like Dixon, Illinois can cultivate government bureaucrats who think freedom means to lie, cheat and steal taxpayer money, you’d better believe that it’s happening at higher levels within out government.
Comptroller Rita is not the only government bureaucrat who has a twisted, psycho definition of freedom. She’s just the only one who got caught. To cover up their spending sprees, politicians and other government bureaucrats just do what Comptroller Rita was unable to do…raise our taxes.
Who’s Watching Who?
How could $53 million of public money be siphoned off without anyone noticing? Easy, no one was watching. And the citizens “trusted” Comptroller Rita. Don’t be naive, that same type of corruption is happening at the federal, state and local government level every day. It may be in smaller increments, but government waste and fraud do exist.
We are not noticing it because we trust our government officials and we are not holding them accountable. American tax payers need to start holding elected and appointed government bureaucrats accountable for their actions. Unrestrained government bureaucrats get to do whatever they want to do…and we end up paying the price.
Freedom: The power to determine action without restraint.
